Flex Power Modules has released the PNA series of non-isolated analog point of load (PoL) regulators with a 9 V to 36 V input voltage range and a full load efficiency of 95.5% at 12 V in and 5.5 V out.
The devices feature an adjustable output of 0.9 V to 5.5 V, at up to 6 A output current, which translates to a maximum power output of 33 W.
The PoL regulators include features like a voltage tracking function that permits one regulator to use the output of another as a voltage reference, simplifying designs by allowing turn-on/turn-off behavior to be daisy chained. A power good (PG) function enables further sequencing control through soft-start and time-based sequencing capabilities.
The PNA series can be synchronized to an external clock to prevent beat frequencies from being reflected to the input supply rail. They measure 13 mm x 12.35 mm x 6.2 mm to support mounting on the bottom of PCBs. The devices support operating temperatures of -40 °C to + 125 °C, and boast a mean time between failure (MTBF) of up to 71.84 million hours
