Microchip’s new LAN8650 and LAN8651 10BASE-T1S MAC-PHY Ethernet Controllers with SPI Interface simplify the implementation of zonal architectures by enabling basic MCUs, rather than higher-level MCUs with a MAC, to be used when creating sensors, actuators, and other devices for the edge of OT and IT networks.

EFF01 is the FG25’s corresponding front-end module that boosts the FG25’s signal range by 2x when used together.

Micro displays are no longer a thing of the future. With the products available today, OEMs can design systems that are power efficient, and produce high brightness and high contrast images. One example of a micro display comes from Wisechip, with its direct viewing miniature near-eye system mini OLEDs. The OLEDs provide clear information even in backlight by showing simple data and strings.

Threats from outside sources are a huge concern to developers, OEMs, and end-system providers. Detecting those threats is one part of the solution. The other part is the incident response. To that end, Exein, a global cybersecurity company specializing in IoT devices, is offering its Exein Runtime, which as its name implies, is a state-of-the-art runtime threat detection and incident response solution (XDR) for Linux- and RTOS-based IoT systems. There’s been no lack of innovation in the automobile over the past few years, particularly in the non-mission-critical department, where modern cars are getting all the bells and whistles that consumers have become accustomed to, like now-mainstream touch displays.

The IoT has required products to be developed in many ancillary categories, particularly when it comes to communications. For example, Synaptics recently announced the SYN4778, what it claims is the industry’s the smallest, lowest power, most accurate Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) IC.
