Analog Devices and Audinate have introduced the Dante Embedded Platform (DEP) SDK for ADI's SHARC audio DSPs, which layers audio-over-IP network software on multicore SHARC ADSP-SC5xx applications processors. The single-chip solution has been validated by Audinate, allowing engineers to develop with confidence using the DEP for SHARC solution.
According to the company, DEP for SHARC offers interoperability with thousands of Dante-enabled products from hundreds of vendors as the AV industry migrates to products running on standard computing architectures. The Analog Devices ADSP-SC5xx DSPs, for example, feature an Arm Cortex core, up to two audio DSPs, large on-chip RAM, audio connectivity peripherals, and advanced audio processing algorithms that are ideal for AV-over-IP.
The processors are also enabled by Analog Devices’ Sigma Studio graphical programming environment that helps simplify development and shrink time to market.
"The Analog Devices ADSP-SC5xx processors extend the premium audio quality of professional AV systems by adding the industry-standard Dante connectivity to more workflows,” said Bob Ehlers, Vice President of Product Management at Audinate.
Expected availability for the DEP SDK for ADI’s ADSP-SC5xx processors is May 2021. Visit www.audinate.com for more information.
