Macnica ATD Europe announced its parent company, Macnica, is now offering Macnica SLVS-EC IP versions for both Intel and Xilinx devices. The device is a high-speed interface defined by Sony for high-resolution/high-frame-rate CMOS image sensors.
Due to embedded clock technology, the standard is tolerant of lane-to-lane skew. Further, it’s a toolkit that facilitates board-level design for SLVS-EC.
Intel device families that are supported include Cyclone V GX, Cyclone 10 GX, and Arria 10 GX. On the XILINX side, supported families include Artix-7, Kintex-7, Kintex Ultrascale, and Kintex Ultrascale+.
All of the devices are compliant with the SLVS-EC specification versions 1.2 and 2.0. However, the main feature is the Error Correction Feature (ECC Option-1), allowing maintenance of image quality under sever conditions and data corruption.
The Intel and Xilinx versions can be requested for a free evaluation license for up to three months. Additionally, Macnica ATD Europe provides a Xilinx Evaluation Kit Kintex UltraScale+ FPGA KCU116 to users as well as a Macnica EasyMVC IMX420 development kit which both can be loaned free of charge.
