Size Matters? TDK Announces the Smallest Safety Class S2 Motor-Run Capacitors - News
January 25, 2023TDK Corporation announced the upcoming release of its new B33331I6 series. The family contains compact EPCOS motor-run capacitors certified safety class S2 and the IEC 60335-2-24 standard being brought to market in 2023. When released, TDK believes it will be the smallest compact motor-un capacitors in the industry. Diameters of “the robust aluminum cans” are 30mm or 35mm, with vertical measurements of 73mm and 103mm. The measurements include all connections for accurate designs.

January 16, 2023TDK Corporation released a full-scale fabrication of InvenSense IAM-20685, the tiniest ASIL-B monolithic 6-axis MEMS IMU in compliant with ISO 26262 for ADAS and autonomous car systems. “Thanks to its 6-axis integration and its ASIL-B compliancy at the component level, the IAM-20685 simplifies automotive ADAS systems development, helping overcome weaknesses of other technologies,” said Alberto Marinoni, Sr Director, Product Marketing Automotive at InvenSense, a TDK Group company.

TDK Corporation expanded its InvenSense SmartIndustrial sensor platform family with the six-axis tilt outputs IIM-20670 IMU (3-axis accelerometer, and 3-axis gyroscope) operating at a range from -40ᵒC to 105ᵒC for solutions requiring high stabilization over temperature. An accelerometer bias repeatability of 1 mg and a programmable output of 64G is featured along with an accelerometer thermal stability of 1.7 µg/C.

January 04, 2023TDK Corporation will be producing the InvenSense IAM-20685, a small-scale ASIL-B monolithic 6-axis MEMS IMU compliant with ISO 26262 for automotive ADAS and autonomous systems such as automated parking, ADAS domain controller, vision systems, vehicle redundant IMU, navigation system aids for dead reckoning, telematics, and accurate positioning.

TDK introduces extremely compact StandarD series disk varistors - Press Release
November 11, 2022TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) presents the EPCOS B72307S0* (StandarD S07 Compact Series) and B72310S0* (StandarD S10 Compact Series) series of extremely compact, leaded disk varistors. The new varistors cover a wide voltage range from 115 VRMS to 460 VRMS in the StandarD S07 Compact series and from 130 VRMS to 680 VRMS in the StandarD S10 Compact series. The maximum surge current capability of a single pulse current (8/20 µs) is up to 1200 A for the StandarD S07 Compact types, and up to 2500 A for the StandarD S10 Compact types. They offer a multiple surge current capability of 500 A (StandarD S07 Compact) or 1500 A (StandarD S10 Compact), according to UL 1449, 4th edition, type 5 listed. The varistors can be operated up to an ambient temperature of 105 °C without derating.
