Embedded Executive: Once Again, You MUST Implement Security | Thistle Technologies - Podcast

March 18, 2026

You’ve heard it over and over—you must incorporate security into your design. And in most cases, that’s happening today. But the task can still be somewhat daunting. That’s where a vendor like Thistle Technologies comes into play. They can make the integration far easier than you might have expected.

Hear why and how from the company’s Founder and CEO, Window Snyder, who has seen far more than most of us when it comes to security. Window was this week’s guest on the Embedded Executives podcast.

The Role of Motor Control in Physical AI - Blog

March 16, 2026

Physical AI is a term that’s in vogue right now. It refers to the application of AI to systems that directly interact with and influence the physical world. Unlike Cloud-based AI models that analyze data and produce insights, physical AI closes the loop between perception, decision-making, and actuation. It senses its environment, processes that data locally or at the Edge, and then potentially drives such equipment as motors, valves, pumps, or actuators. In short, it turns algorithms into action.

Embedded Executive: embedded world in Germany is Nearly Here | Axel Sikora - Podcast

March 04, 2026

T-minus six days for embedded world in Nuremberg. If you’ve been in the embedded space for any amount of time, you’re likely aware of embedded world, which is the annual global meeting place for the industry.

On this week’s Embedded Executives podcast, I was able to corral Axel Sikora, the Chairman of the conference’s technical committee. We walked through some of the highlights of the upcoming event.

DevTalk with Rich and Vin: HMIs and LVGL - Podcast

March 03, 2026

You need some sort of UI on your system. It may be quite elaborate, or it may be very simple. In either case, designing that UI should not be a barrier to entry for an embedded system. Enter LVGL, or Light and Versatile Graphics Library, an open-source embedded graphics library that aims to (and accomplishes) eliminating that barrier.

To understand why this is even an issue and how designers can get past it, Rich and Vin spoke to Gabor Kiss-Vamosi, the Founder and CEO of LVGL, on this episode of DevTalk with Rich and Vin.

Embedded Executive: Bluetooth and Industrial Are Joining Forces | Blecon - Podcast

February 25, 2026

Bluetooth is everywhere, right?

Until recently, I would have said “Almost everywhere,” since it hadn’t yet affected the industrial sector. However, according to Simon Ford, the Founder of Blecon, Bluetooth has now entered that final frontier. It’s done so for obvious reasons, like power, performance, and ubiquity, and a few other reasons.

Hear what Simon has to say on this week’s Embedded Executives podcast.

Embedded Executive: LE-UWB Touts Low Power Plus High Bandwidth | SPARK Microsystems - Podcast

February 18, 2026

Bluetooth claims to own the low-power wireless space with its Low Energy (LE) flavor. A newer, yet older entrant in the space wants to claim that throne. That would be Low Energy UWB, or LE-UWB. And now you understand the reference to newer-older.

DevTalk with Rich and Vin: The Vital Connection Between Industry and Academia - Podcast

February 17, 2026

Does the academic world do a good job at getting its students ready to work in the real world? Is it even possible to do that now, given the pace AI is forcing industry to move at, and knowing that academia doesn’t typically move that quickly?

DevTalk with Rich and Vin: AI in University - Podcast

January 20, 2026

We know that AI is everywhere. An area of particular concern for the DevTalk crew is how AI fits into today’s higher education programs. With our special guest Kevin Lu, the Associate Dean for Engineering and Science for Undergraduate Studies at Stevens Institute of Technology, we look at two specific areas—how do you ensure that students aren’t “cheating” by making use of AI, and second, how do you ensure that the careers you are getting them ready for are the right careers, in this changing world of AI? It’s a fascinating topic, and one that will evolve regularly.

Embedded Executive: Wireless Charging Just Got Faster | WPC - Podcast

January 14, 2026

We’ve all seen the wireless charging devices; you set your phone down on the charger, come back after a while, and your phone is charged. If the charger manufacturer followed the standard set forth by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), that scenario would play out. If they didn’t follow the standard, then you may come back to an uncharged device.
