Arm announced the release of the Arm Flexible Access for early-stage Startups. The program is an extension of the Flexible Access program. According to the company, it offers silicon startups zero-cost access to Arm’s IP, in addition to global support and training resources.

“In today’s challenging business landscape, enabling innovation is critical,” said senior VP of automotive and IoT Dipti Vachani, in a press release. “Now more than ever, startups with brilliant ideas need the fastest, most trusted route to success and scale.”

Per the same release, Arm defines “early-stage” as a company with up to $5m in funding. These companies that meet the required criteria can access Arm-based processors including IP from the Arm Cortex®-A, -R and -M processor families, select Arm Mali™ GPUs, ISPs, among others.

The program can assist startups in areas that include artificial intelligence at the edge, autonomous vehicles, and IoT.

The Arm Flexible Access program, which launched last year, allows partners to pay a fee for access to Arm’s technology portfolio. Approximately 40 users are registered and working in the previously mentioned fields.
