Digi International doesn’t just want to show you its ConnectCore for i.MX6UL Starter Kit at electronica 2016 – it wants you to walk away with one. Digi is bringing the shop floor to the show floor and offering electronica delegates the kit for a heavily discounted $49.
The starter kit promises a “universal and powerful platform for rapid development of smart and secure connected devices. It delivers a complete hardware and software platform to create a wide range of connected devices for medical, healthcare, energy or industrial applications.” It combines reference designs, prototyping platforms, and a comprehensive development environment to effortlessly guide module-based designs to mass market.
The physical deliverable takes the shape of an 87 x 63 mm SBC with NXP i.MX6UL-2, ARM Cortex-A7 @ 528 MHz combined with 256Mb DDR3 and 256 MB local NAND flash. It natively supports both wired and wireless network connectivity via 10/100 LAN and pre-certified 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WiFi, alongside Bluetooth 4.2 with BLE.
Designed for rapid prototyping, the board combines integrated sensors with an easily accessible breakout connector to access key module signals. As its name suggests, this servers as a kit for those starting to develop new ideas and providing proof of concepts. Once proven, the next step is the imminently available ConnectCore for i.MX6UL Development Kit – the potential of which Digi will be demonstrating throughout the event.
Digi will be exhibiting at electronica 2016 in Munich November 8-11th.
