SANTA CLARA, CA. Adesto Technologies has released SmartServer IoT, an edge server for building automation and Industrial IoT use cases. The Linux-based multi-protocol industrial edge server provides device management services out of the box, RESTful APIs, and intuitive user dashboards. The modular edge server provides a data abstraction layer to help customers integrate non-interoperable communications protocols, as well as a development environment for new analytics-based applications and services.
SmartServer IoT is an edge networking and compute platform that comes pre-integrated with device and data management apps for connecting, routing, scheduling, data logging, and alarms, which run locally at the edge to improve determinism and responsiveness. A web-based management system simplifies device provisioning, management, and reporting, while secure IoT messaging enables communication to or from any public or private cloud without opening insecure ports or punching holes in firewalls.
SmartServer IoT supports open north and southbound interfaces to any remote client, device, or application, and also integrates popular building automation protocols such as BACnet, LON, and modbus.
SmartServer IoT is available now. For more information visit https://resources.adestotech.com/smart-server-iot.
