Newark element14, the Development Distributor, is now shipping the hotly anticipated Power over Ethernet HAT for the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+. This new HAT, announced at the launch of the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, enables a Raspberry Pi to be powered via an Ethernet cable, removing the need for a separate power supply.
Power over Ethernet was one of Newark element14 customers’ top four asks of the latest offering from Raspberry Pi, which delivers increased performance and addresses the needs of the growing professional design market using the board as an embedded device. The official Raspberry Pi PoE HAT is an ideal solution for embedded and IoT projects and further enhances the capabilities of this board.
