June 12, 2019
In the podcast we talk about Murata's efforts in next-generation power systems for servers and other application spaces, as well as the company's recent M7A activity.
One of the often-overlooked aspects of electronic design is that every advance in one area demands advances in every other related space. For example, the more powerful and versatile you make your computing and server systems, the more powerful and versatile your power supply infrastructure must be.
We recently met with Charlie Swiontek, the Director of Strategic Marketing at Murata Power, about some of the company’s efforts in the embedded space. In the podcast we talk about Murata’s efforts in next-generation power systems for servers and other application spaces, as well as the company’s recent M&A activity.
Murata’s recent acquisitions include Peregrine Semiconductor, which is now pSemi, with a product portfolio that now extends to power management, connected sensors, antenna tuning, power amplifiers, and integrated RF front ends. Charlie also spoke about the purchase of Sony Battery in 2017 and how that and other actions impacted the company’s position in the electronics industry.
