Altium announced the availability of its Altium 365, a cloud platform for printed circuit board (PCB) design and realization that the company calls the world’s first. The platform works in correlation with the Altium Designer, an industry standard for PCB design.

With Altium 365, users can collaborate with stakeholders and other participants, even those not using the Altium Designer, while maintaining IP security and keeping design under control.

According to the company, users will now have the ability to organize designs libraries, and participants in one place, while sharing links to designs for real-time collaboration. With the use of CAD-specific intelligence, data can be stored and accessed online.

It highlights a built-in co-designer capability between electronic and mechanical domains through native integration with PTC Creo®, Dassault Systèmes® SolidWorks™ and Autodesk Inventor®.
