Newark element14 and Avnet, along with Octonion and ST Microelectronics, have developed SmartEdge Agile, a low power, IoT ready-to-use device. It has nine sensors and can implement artificial intelligence (AI) at the edge via an easy-to-use, zero-code interface.
SmartEdge Agile uses Octonion’s new Brainium portal and AI Studio powered by Microsoft Azure to help developers and manufacturers easily provide intelligence to their devices with 20 predefined AI algorithms that can be re-used through to product launch.
SmartEdge Agile is embedded with a Brainium software agent, enabling an effortless interface with AI Studio and assisting the end-to-end IoT solution, helping customers zero in on their use cases.
“As the Development Distributor, Newark element14 is focused on helping customers at the early stage of design bring greater capabilities to their designs through intelligent technology,” Ralf Buehler, SVP Product, Marketing and eCommerce for Premier Farnell and Newark element14 said. “SmartEdge Agile is a revolutionary product in its field, bringing artificial intelligence to the edge for IoT solutions. With easy to use, drag and drop programming, this intelligence is now available to deploy, even to users with no coding experience.”
Avnet will be appearing at CES in Las Vegas this week, January 8-11 in Tech East Westgate, Booth #2609, where they will also be exhibiting SmartEdge Agile and Brainium AI solution demos and use cases.
