Fraunhofer IPMS will be presenting Li-Fi (light fidelity) glasses at embedded world.
Fraunhofer IPMS will be presenting Li-Fi (light fidelity) glasses at embedded world from February 26-28 in Nuremberg, Germany in Hall 3, Booth 123.
Li-Fi can support augmented reality applications by providing the user with information that is integrated into the augmented reality glasses’ field of view.
These glasses can be used in the following scenarios:
- warehousing and logistics areas
- assembly and product development
- medical
The devices are especially essential when large amounts of data and interactive content transferring are required and while a user's actions must be available during a certain period of time.
“Data glasses are a great example of the benefits of our Li-Fi technology. Optical wireless transmission offers high constant data rates, low latency, and maximum user mobility,” said Dr. Alexander Noack, Fraunhofer IPMS’ Development Manager. “It combines the flexibility of wireless solutions with the benefits of cabled transmission and provides even greater bandwidth than radio-based solutions.”
