The Industrial Internet Consortium launched the Supply Network Dynamic Simulation Test Drive.
The solution, which was created by the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC), a unit of Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), helps to optimize supply network design.
This helps minimize disruption of supply and demand.
According to an organization press release, the test drive enables supply chain leaders to perform network design and optimization models to evaluate risks and countermeasures before deployment in the real world. Manufacturers can also experiment with “what-if” scenarios to review the effects of changing inventory policies or sourcing policies in a supply chain.
IIC’s Test Drives are rapid-engagement pilots for tech users attempting to employ and adopt IIoT Technologies. The Test Drive program is meant to collaborate with partners, addressing edge IIoT use cases in 3-6 month projects.
