Sunnyvale, CA. Diamond Systems released Elton, a carrier board solution designed to provide AI-at-the-edge high performance computing based on NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier modules. It is conducive for industrial and military applications, zeroing in on harsh environments such as vehicles and other outdoor applications.

Elton includes a PCI/104-Express expansion socket and connects the development of AI/ML technology with the rugged industrial embedded computing ecosystem of PC/104, supporting the PCIe/104 type 2 (x8 lane), and PCIe/104 OneBank expansion modules (4 x1 lanes).

Elton uses a 50 percent thicker PCB, generating a rugged platform well suited for the most arduous applications. Elton’s size is 102x152mm, enabling standard PC I/O and additional expansion capabilities such as data acquisition, M.2 and PCIe MiniCard sockets, and an LTE modem socket.

Elton includes:
