Press Release
CAN in Automation invites you to the 17th international CAN Conference.
The program committee selected 23 contributions from the submitted abstracts, which will be presented at the 17th international CAN conference (iCC) in Baden-Baden (Germany). The conference will take place on March 17 and 18, 2020. Emotas, Gemac, Peak System and Vector sponsor this event.
The program comprises eight sessions (CAN Physical Layer, CAN XL Data Link Layer, CANopen Testing, CANopen FD, CAN FD Lower Layer, Engineering, Security and CAN XL Higher Layer functions). "It is obvious that the latest issue is the introduction of CAN XL, the next generation of the CAN data link layer," said Holger Zeltwanger, chair of the iCC program committee and CiA managing director. The CAN XL specification series also includes CAN XL Higher -Layer functions that are covered in several articles.
The 1st iCC conference took place in 1994. The iCC this year, which is already the 17th, gives CAN-interested engineers the opportunity to meet experts from all over the world to exchange knowledge and experiences with classic CAN and CAN FD. In addition, the next CAN data link generation will be presented in detail. As usual, the conference will be accompanied by a table exhibition.
"CAN XL with a payload of up to 2048 bytes is what the automotive industry and other markets are waiting for," said Zeltwanger. "The Hamming distance of six guarantees higher reliability compared to other communication technologies. This is important for all business-critical ones applications ". In addition, all CAN solutions are characterized by uniquely high scalability, which is important for all price-sensitive markets.
