Swiss automobile manufacturer Rinspeed presented its metroSNAP concept vehicle using HARTING technology, with a specially designed interface that supplies the vehicle with power, data, and signals. The HARTING interface module helps adapt the vehicle for a wide range of tasks in a fast, flexible manner.
The vehicle is divided into two elements, the Skateboard that serves as an electric vehicle, and the Pod, which can be switched out in a flexible manner to accommodate different tasks. Connectivity between them is automatically established as soon as the Pod and the skateboard are securely connected.
