Swissbit announced the launch of CFexpress 2.0 Type B cards. The cards feature high reliability, performance, and data protection.
The cards, named G-20 for those with 3D-TLC-NAND and G-26 for the pSLC version, offer fast, pluggable storage media.
Additional features of the memory cards per a company release include the following:
- Up to 480 GB
- High-performance interface in accordance with 2-lane NVMe-1.3 and PCIe-Gen 3.1 specifications
- Read-write performance of PCIe SSDs
- Up to 1620MB/s for sequential read operations
- 840MB/s for sequential write operations
The series was developed for efficient heat dissipation. Additionally, it’s coupled with firmware mechanisms, allowing use in high-temperature environments and fanless systems. Additionally, it eliminates the necessity of local DRAM cache with the use of host memory buffer (HMB) function and uses system DRAM memory for FTL management.
Swissbit also offers the G-26 version, using pSLC mode to achieve longer lifespans compared to the G-20. The G-26 suits applications that require long product life.
