The new version incorporates a third-generation thread scheduler, better integration and execution of SystemC components, and improved memory allocation to perform simulations 20 percent faster.
Wind River has released a new version of Wind River Simics focused on continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices for embedded developers. Updated tools and APIs allow embedded developers to easily integrate the Simics platform into their CI/CD environments or security testing infrastructure.
Simics leverages virtual platforms to model actual hardware, enabling functional simulation for embedded DevOps. The new version incorporates a third-generation thread scheduler, better integration and execution of SystemC components, and improved memory allocation to perform simulations 20 percent faster.
DML language-level updates and support for hierarchical objects also make it easier to incorporate SystemC modules, as well as build and maintain new models.
