Press Release
The Trust Platform for Microchip?s CryptoAuthentication family is a security authentication solution based on ATECC608A secure elements that offers secure key storage, provisioning, and configuration.
Microchip has added a three-tiered service model and minimum order quantity (MOQ) as low as 10 units around the Trust Platform for its CryptoAuthentication family. The Trust Platform for Microchip’s CryptoAuthentication family is a security authentication solution based on ATECC608A secure elements that offers secure key storage, provisioning, and configuration. The different tiers and low MOQ allow small-to-medium-sized IoT organizations easy access to secure connected products.
The three tiers of the Microchip Trust Platform include pre-provisioned, pre-configured option, or fully customizable secure elements that can be tailored to the requirements of a design.
- The pre-provisioned option, called “Trust&GO” features pre-programmed device credentials for cloud or LoRaWAN network onboarding. Keys that correspond with these devices are delivered in a manifest file that can be uploaded directly into compatible network/cloud systems such as AWS IoT. MOW: 10 units.
- The second option, TrustFLEX, allows customers to use an existing certificate authority (CA) alongside the Trust Platform, which offers pre-configured security settings for use cases such as TLS authentication with IP networks, secure boot, OTA updating, data/IP protection, etc. MOQ: 2,000 units.
- TrustCUSTOM provides users with the ability to implement specific configurations and custom provisioning. MOQ: 4,000 units.
These three options pair with the Trust Platform Design Suite to further accelerate secure IoT designs. The development suite includes:
- Guided use-case tool
- Executable Python tutorials on Jupyter notebooks
- C code examples
- Secret exchange utility
ATECC608A secure elements are discrete cryptoauthentication chips that can be used with any microcontroller or microprocessor.
Trust Platform begins at just $0.77 per unit, with MOQs varying by implementation. Interested parties can learn more at www.microchip.com/design-centers/security-ics/trust-platform, or purchase one of the following evaluation kits:
