Proprietary cross-platform file system drivers and utilities deliver unrestricted access to data.
Paragon Software updated its Microsoft exFAT software driver. It features fast read and write access to exFAT volumes from Linux, with supplemental functionality for modern Linux kernels and lower CPU memory consumption.
The exFAT technology can be integrated into Linux, Android and other embedded operating systems, and RTOSes such as QNX and Integrity. Microsoft has patent rights to Paragon’s exFAT and can be directly implemented to OEMs, ODMs and independent software vendors for integration into devices and antivirus, forensic and data recovery solutions sans the requirement to acquire Microsoft licensing.
The Android/Linux exFAT driver includes:
1. "mkexfat" exFAT formatting tool.
2. "chkexat" exFAT file system check/repair tool, similar to native Windows CHKDSK.
3. fsutil - a partial analogue of the Windows “fsutil,” enabling the user to obtain information on volume and manage special attributes of files.
4. Integration package for Android OEMs for accelerated incorporation of Paragon’s driver and utilities into the compilation of the Android image.
Benefits of the Paragon File System Link entail:
- Data safety and integrity
- Solid functionality and fault tolerance
- Dependable operation over a variety of applications
- Minimal resource footprint
- Consistent UX
“Paragon Software provides key storage technology software stacks that will ensure the best customer experience through leading performance, high stability, seamless interoperability, and full data safety,” said Paragon Software’s CEO, Konstantin Komarov.
