In this edition of DevKit Weekly Brandon reviews the Tetra single board computer from VersaLogic.
This Arm-based SBC features a quad-core i.MX6 CPU; an operating temperature that ranges from -40° to +85°C; shock and vibration per MIL-STD-202G; up to 4 GB soldered-on RAM; a wide power input of 8 to 17V, and more.
The board, which is 95 x 125 mm in size, is designed around the industry standard COM-Express footprint and mounting points. This allows for simpler installation and upgrades. It is a board level computer and does not require additional carrier boards, connector boards, or I/O expansion.
Connectivity is provided through a gigabit ethernet, USB, and CAN Bus interface, as well as HDMI and LVDS video support. Mini PCIe socket for expandability is also included in addition to a I2C port, MIPI camera input, audio I/O, SPI, and a 6-axis accelerometer/ magnetometer.
Tetra is supported by VersaAPI, Linux, and Android software support.
