EcoXiP improves XiP performance and reduces power and cost for IoT edge applications.
Adesto Technologies, a provider of application-specific, ultra-low power non-volatile memory (NVM) products, announced that the i.MX RT1052 OEM Board from Embedded Artists takes full advantage of its EcoXiP system-accelerating NVM, enabling developers to improve XiP (eXecute-in-Place) performance, and reduce power and cost for a range of industrial IoT applications.
Embedded Artists’ i.MX RT1052 OEM Board is equipped with NXP Semiconductor’s i.MX RT1052 crossover processor with an Arm Cortex-M7 core. Capable of running up to 600-MHz, the RT1052 processor is designed to deliver the performance and integration of an applications processor while maintaining the ease-of-use, low power consumption and real-time capability of a microcontroller (MCU).
Built on an innovative memory and protocol architecture, EcoXiP was designed from the ground-up to solve the challenges of XiP (eXecute-in-Place) memory designs. EcoXiP replaces expensive, energy-inefficient architectures, making power and performance trade-offs unnecessary in a wide range of connected devices. For a broad range of MCUs and other intelligent IoT devices, EcoXiP delivers high system performance, optimized latency and throughput, concurrent read/write capability, enhanced security, and the best standby power.
The RT1052 OEM Board enables developers to use on-chip SRAM, off-chip EcoXiP flash memory with a high-speed Octal SPI interface, or a combination of the two solutions, depending on their application.
Demonstration at Embedded World
Adesto will demonstrate the competitive advantages of EcoXiP on Embedded Artists’ i.MX RT1052 OEM Board at Embedded World, being held February 27 – March 1 in Nuremberg, Germany. Visit Adesto in Hall 4A, Booth 259.
Samples of Adesto’s EcoXiP non-volatile system-accelerating memory are available now. EcoXiP is available in optimized densities from 32Mb to 128Mb. For more information, see:
