Rohde & Schwarz to Appear at Electronica 2018 and Present Next Generation T&M Solutions For 5G, Automotive and IoT
October 24, 2018
Press Release
Rohde & Schwarz will attend Electronica from November 13 to 16, exhibiting products such as oscilloscopes, signaling test solution for Bluetooth LE, signal generators and several updated instruments.
Rohde & Schwarz will attend Electronica from November 13 to 16, 2018 in hall A3, booth 307, under the banner "Accelerate design. Maximize performance" exhibiting products such as oscilloscopes, the world’s first signaling test solution for Bluetooth LE and signal generators setting new standards as well as several updated instrument families.
R&S RTP high-performance oscilloscope family
The oscilloscope family combines superior signal integrity with high measurement speed capabilities and capture up to 1 million waveforms per second, compensating for transmission losses between the signal source and the oscilloscope in real time through deembedding, and are very quiet even at maximum functionality. The company will demonstrate measurements on components with USB 3.0 and PCI Express 2.0 interfaces. The oscilloscopes are available in 4 GHz, 6 GHz and 8 GHz.
First signaling test solution for Bluetooth LE
The R&S CMW270 wireless connectivity tester can do more than test RF functions for Bluetooth. Its bandwidth of 160 MHz also supports WLAN RF signaling tests in line with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and IEEE 802.11ax, as well as non-signaling RF tests in line with IEEE 802.15.4 for ZigBee, Thread and 6LoWPAN.
The new R&S FSW
The new R&S FSW has improved performance and ease of use with an updated exterior with a new user interface concept and an SCPI recorder for straightforward programming of remotely controlled test sequences.
The company has also enhanced its R&S Spectrum Rider FPH family with new base units with frequencies up to 6 GHz, 13.6 GHz or 26.5 GHz with the option to have frequency extensions, enabling spectrum analysis up to 31 GHz for lab and field use.
Signal generators set standards in their class
Rohde & Schwarz will also present the R&S SMB100B analog signal generator and the R&S SMBV100B vector signal generator, both offering many capabilities in an extremely compact device.
High-precision frequency selective power meter
The R&S NRQ6 power meter ranges in frequencies from 50 MHz to 6 GHz and can establish limitations of a transmission channel up to 100 MHz. Currently, it is the only power sensor on the market able to perform extremely precise and fast measurements down to –130 dBm.
Test solutions for 5G
Test solutions for the new 5G standard are capable of generating and analyzing 5G NR signals along with the latest 3GPP specifications (version 15.2.0). The new R&S FSW is now capable of analyzing 5G NR uplink signals when developing 5G consumer electronic devices or 5G components such as power amplifiers, as well as downlink signals for tests on 5G base stations.
Fully automated EMC tests
The ELEKTRA EMC test software enables fully automatic EMC tests on products, which speeds up test times and reduces costs. It supplements the R&S ELEKTRA EMI test software for developers and offers interactive test sequences.
T&M equipment for automotive systems
Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate the development to production stages of its automotive radar sensors. The new R&S AREG100A automotive radar echo generator will enable OEMs and tier 1 suppliers to achieve reliable end-of-line production testing, and also simplify the mandatory tests for automotive radar sensors defined in the Radio Equipment Directive (RED).
