Alfamation released the WSC-6 RF wireless test chamber, presented as three times smaller than available alternatives. With a typical shielding effectiveness of over 90 dB, the 230 x 280 x 130-mm stackable system can typically host more than one device under test (DUT), and can test wireless devices transmitting in the 500 MHz – 6 GHz range.
The WSC-6 isolates the DUT from the external environment and can internally reproduce far field conditions. Supplied in manual, semi-automatic, and fully-automatic configurations, hand-operated doors can be upgraded to be locked and unlocked automatically, while fully-automatic means that the WSC-6 can be integrated into an automated production line with robotic loading and unloading of DUTs.
The chamber is available both as a standard product as well as in customized configurations for specific customer needs, in various sizes and shapes, as well as fully integrated as part of a customized manufacturing test cell. Constructed on a solid cast aluminum base to enable pneumatically-assisted loading and unloading, the WSC-6 includes status LEDs and the necessary space for testing-related electronics.
