George Slama from Wurth Elektronik eiSos will be presenting, “Interfacing to Current Transformers,” at the first all-digital embedded world exhibition and conference on Monday, March 1st. Slama will be discussing energy management, current measurements, and how to choose the right circuit for your project.
Measuring currents are important for the safety, control, and monitoring of any power supply. There are more than a dozen similar looking circuits and different types of currents (unipolar or bipolar, sinusoidal or rectangular) that can affect how you use your application and how it will perform. Measuring ac currents with isolated current sense transformers requires attention to fine details. This session will explain how the current transformer is different and compare/contrast the most common circuits to help you decide which is best for your application.
