Superior Sensor Technology announced the release of the SP160 pressure sensor, which was designed to help manufacturers develop spirometry equipment with precise measurements for higher pressure range applications.
Per the company, it’s the first single sensor to support Multi-RangeT with four multiple programmable, high-pressure variants. These range from 5K Pa to 40K Pa, with a very stable zero measurement and no degradation to performance on each variant.
The sensor is based on the company’s NimbleSense™ architecture, an intelligent system-in-a-sensor. SP160’s multi-range capability supports four pressure variants that include ±5K Pa, ±10 K Pa, ±20K Pa, ±40K Pa, in addition to accuracies of <0.10% and TEB of <0.30% on each pressure variant.
Additional features include an output rate of 500 Hz, eight bandwidth ranges from 25 Hz to 250 Hz, Z-Track technology, and pin compatibility.
