Santa Clara, USA, Klein-Winternheim, Germany. SYSGO and Intel are partnering and releasing the PikeOS support for Intel x6000FE series Atom(r) processors. PikeOS supports the requirements for reliable and secure computing environment. It meets IEC 61508 safety standard for rigorous functional safety in such applications as connected robots and flow control systems in the chemical market.

SixtyFPS GmbH is releasing version 1.0 of Slint, a complete toolkit enabling the development of native user interfaces within desktops and embedded environments leveraging Rust. The group of over 50 contributors designed Slint 1.0 for scalability, customization, and cross compatibility. For the purpose of assisting in the simplification of designing UIs, Slint has streamlined the approach using declarative programming.

Vecow will deliver the Vecow Hardware Monitor, a software created for the simplification of system monitoring and hardware ability management. A main highlight is the user-friendly UI enabling the direct monitoring and controlling of devices without knowledge of chipset, component, and driver architecture. Users are now able to freely manipulate digital IO, PoE, Thermal, UART, USB, WDT, SMBus, Ignition, while accessing available hardware monitoring sensors.

Shenzhen, China. MYIR’s MYC-YG2LX CPU Module based on RENESAS RZ/G2L SoC is available supplying 1.2GHz dual ARM Cortex-A55 and 200MHz Cortex-M33 cores with Mali-G31 GPU and integrated video codec engine. Also included in the platform are 1GB/2GB DDR4, 8GB eMMC, 32Kbit EEPROM, and PMIC.

Taoyuan, Taiwan. Techman Robot has confirmed the release of the TM20 robotic arm, a smart collaborative robot with powerful AI, weighing in at only 32.8kg,but with the ability to move up to 20kg with a maximum reach of 1300mm on six rotating joints. The robot mitigates energy consumption with a reduction in recharging time as well as having an agile maneuverability in tight spaces.

Malvern, Pennsylvania. Vishay Intertechnology has innovated the Vishay Draloric RCS0805 e3 anti-surge thick film resistor with an increased power rating of 0.5 W. The RCS0805 e3 now takes the place of four standard parallel resistors in the 0805 case size, two parallel devices in the larger 1206, or one resistor in the 1210.

Tel Aviv, Israel. POLYN Technology delivers frameworks for trained neural network conversions to a neuromorphic chip for inference, and will introduce its VibroSense publicly at Hannover Messe April 17-21, in Booth С59, Hall 17. The VibroSense is a Tiny AI chip solution for monitoring vibration in sensor nodes for easier integration and improvement in the ROI and OPEX.

Vancouver, Washington. DIGISTOR’s FIPS 140-2 L2 certified self-encrypting drives now hold Common Criteria certification, with its market first PCIe/NVMe and SATA storage devices. Ismaning, Germany. Kontron posted all ATX, µATX, and mITX motherboards powered by the 12th generation Intel Core i processor series will now receive a complete BIOS update to 13th generation.

SECO released its EUPHORIA, a new COM Express Compact module featuring the Intel Atom x6000E Series, Intel Pentium, and Celeron N and J Series processors for reliably regulating temperature control in deterministic real-time rugged edge environments. The EUPHORIA delivers high performance embedded connectivity on x86 architecture supporting innovations within automation, robotics, transportation, automotive, medical devices, and telecommunications.

LIPS issued its LIPSedge F110 3DxAI Edge Accelerator centered on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier module, making it the original NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier-based PCIe PoE+ endpoint-mode edge accelerator. The accelerator enables the building of applications while delivering both x86 and NVIDIA Jetson architecture.

Beaverton, Oregon. As an open group promoting the advancement of interoperability standards, the Khronos Group, created the SYCL SC Working Group for high-level heterogeneous computing framework. SYCL SC members will push toward streamlining certification of safety-critical systems in automotive, avionics, medical, and industrial markets. The group is open to any Khronos member, with membership open to all.

Nuremberg, Germany. Announced during embedded world 2023, Ashling’s RiscFree SDK will deliver software development support for Imagination’s Catapult RISC-V-based IP cores.  The collaboration between the two companies produced the RTXM-2200 which is the first industrial licensable CPU IP from the RISC-V Catapult family. Highlights include a real-time, scalable, 32-bit integrated design with Imagination’s expertise in CPU development.

San Jose, California. KIOXIA America, Inc. is collaborating on the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Spaceborne Computer-2 (SBC-2) program. KIOXIA SSDs will deliver robust flash storage in HPE Edgeline and HPE ProLiant servers in a test atmosphere for research onboard the International Space Station (ISS). “Proving that data center-level compute processing can successfully operate in the harsh conditions of space will truly take something special,” noted Scott Nelson, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for KIOXIA America, Inc.

GOEPEL introduced the latest itineration of its SYSTEM CASCON software, 4.9.0. The ratification includes new features within the configurable Production Inspector, IEEE standard 1149.1-2013 (complementing the system software), ViPX technology at IC level with integrated ViPX Netlist, and faster execution of JAM/STAPL files on SFX II controllers.

Uppsala, Sweden. IAR recently launched its IAR Embedded Trust, a strong and reliable solution for end-to-end security workflow within embedded applications. The platform is a device-agnostic security solution enabling easy porting with present designs to new microcontrollers. This shortens development time as well as the reuse of code without starting from scratch.

DFI, with assistance from VicOne, has moved into the electric vehicle (EV) market to develop innovations for secure vehicle software applications. The utilization of the solutions will add further network security to maintain smart cities. InoNet Computer GmbH released the Concepion-tXf-L-v3 edge intelligence system designed to meet the requirements of the rugged edge, including road infrastructure control within vehicles. Perfromace leverages the NVIDIA GPU with dedicated cooling and 12th generation Intel Core i CPUs.
