Taipei. Antzer Tech, a subsidiary of Innodisk Group, released an innovative CAN FD Series solution mitigating the limits on data transmission speed and enables eight times more data capacity than the CANbus network. Do to the higher data speeds, the CAN FD allows unmanned transformation systems in smart manufacturing and logistics.

Geneva. A new customized 10W isolated-buck IC from STMicroelectronics has been released to protect power conversion and gate driving in IGBTs, SiC, and GaN transistors. The L6983i includes low quiescent current and 3.5V-38V input-voltage range.

Rehovot, Israel. PractiTest has finished compiling data for its 10th annual State of Testing report focusing on DevOps, Automation, and an analysis on error prevention within software architecture. In 2013 PractiTest had no mention of DevOps in its report. Now, 84% of companies are using DevOps to improve communication between software developers and deployment teams.

San Francisco.  The Linux Foundation inaugurated the TLA+ Foundation further expanding the implementation and development of TLA+, with working members including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle, and Microsoft. TLA+ enables software developers to verify complex software systems and utilization yields a reduction in errors with needed dependability.

Munich, Germany. Infineon Technologies AG announced the SEMPER X1 LPDDR Flash, the first LPDDR Flash memory ensuing expansion of automotive E/E architectures. The LDDR interface, supporting 3.2 GBytes/sec and a multi-bank architecture, administers secure, efficient, and real-time code implementation essential to automotive domain and zone controllers.

San Jose, California. Rambus Inc. reached a product milestone for accelerating AI in its GDDR6 memory interface. The interface supports upwards of 24 Gigabits per second (Gb/s) including 96 Gigabytes per second (GB/s) of bandwidth for each device.

Santa Clara California. AMD released its AMD Ryzen Embedded 5000 Series, power-efficient processors enhanced for “always on” networking firewalls, network-attached storage systems, and other security applications. The 5000 series in based on 7nm technology and has a five-year manufacturing availability. With support for 6, 8, 12 or 16 cores and 24 lanes of PCIe Gen4 connectivity, the series is developed to aid in reliability and consistent uptime constraints for security and networking.

Thalwil, Switzerland. u-blox announced the u-blox ZED-F9L module designed to integrate seamlessly in automotive use cases. Included with embedded dead reckoning technology, the module contains six-axis IMU, various outputs, and reliable automotive components (AEC-Q104). The unit runs at temperatures up to 105 °C enabling Telematic Control Units (TCU) under the roof.

Sunnyvale, California. Real-Time Innovations (RTI), announced the latest addition to its Connext Product Suite featuring the Connext Observability Framework. The framework is ideal for environments centered on the DDS standard enabling designers of mission-critical applications.

Phoenix, Arizona. Avnet is now delivering innovative video and storage add-ons to the ZUBoard 1CG. Included are a new DisplayPort and eMMC module. The additions enable high-definition video with reliable bootable storage, running on the AMD-Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ ZU1CG device.

Washington, DC. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) ratified its Zero Trust Maturity Model version 2. CISA received and evaluated public inquiries to expand the federal government’s continuation of a zero trust approach supporting the National Cybersecurity Strategy.

Munich, Germany. Infineon Technologies AG announced a a new automotive smart high-side power switch series. The PROFET Load Guard 12V dual- and single-channel delivers a current capacitive range between 0.3 and 8.7 A, depending on the R _DS(ON), with no need for a microcontroller.

Santa Rosa California. When failures and maintenance issues arise, connectivity and network loss can cause catastrophic life-threatening conditions. To safely operate critical systems, network designers need to completely evaluate the connectivity and reliability of IoT components before releasing them to the edge. To design around this problem, Keysight Technologies, Inc., released its new Novus mini to its Novus series. The Novus mini tests for network vulnerabilities as developers continue to expand connectivity of automotive and Industrial IoT devices.

Semidynamics released a one of a kind 64-bit RISC-V family of cores boosting the ability to transmit copious amounts of information for high-performance computing (HPC) and AI/ML. The cores are process agnostic and utilize Gazzillion technology that was developed for recommendation systems, a must for data center ML.

Davis, California. The Connectivity Standards Alliance has released ratification Zigbee PRO 2023 to be included in the Zigbee protocol stack. The release will enhance mesh networks enabling a universal language giving smart objects an easier route to transmit data to other connected smart devices. Zigbee PRO 2023 develops secure-by-design architecture expanding support beyond 2.4 GHz.
