TDK Corporation has added the Micronas embedded motor controller with the HVC 4420F to its portfolio.
TDK Corporation has added the Micronas embedded motor controller with the HVC 4420F to its portfolio. It has an extended flash memory to 64 KB and SRAM to 4 KB, conducive for small brush-type, stepper, or brushless motor drives and meets the latest demands of the automotive industry.
The HVC 4420F runs on a 32-bit CPU core (ARM Cortex-M3) with 64 kB flash memory and includes:
- timers/counters
- interrupt controllers
- multichannel ADC
- SPI
- enhanced PWMs with diagnosis functions
The HVC 4420F’s high processing power operates complex motor control algorithms including Space Vector Modulation (SVM) for everlasting magnet synchronous motors (PMSM), six-step commutation with sensor feedback or sensorless control, in addition to various stepper configurations.
The HVC 4420F grants the option to include production-ready and highly flexible, parameterizable firmware with advanced communication, monitoring and power management functions (ASIL A ready) and a configuration tool.
