Compact PICO-ITX board with RSIC CPU for KIOSK and POS applications combining low power consumption and high performance.
HYPER-RK39 - PICO-ITX Embedded Board with Rockchip 3399 SoC |
The demand for compact, energy-saving embedded boards that are highly efficient on the same time continues unabated. One reason for this is the wide range of applications, from digital signage and POS to KIOSK applications in the retail sector, which require precisely these seemingly contradictory characteristics.
ICP Deutschland is expanding its existing PICO-ITX series with the new compact embedded board HYPER-RK39. Primary characteristic is the RISC based SoC Rockchip 3399 consisting of a Dual-Core Cortex-A72 and a Quad-Core Cortex-A53. The CPU cluster forms a perfect symbiosis of high performance and low power consumption. Users can choose between the pre-installed Android 7.1 operating system and the Qt Linux 5.9 application framework and GUI toolkit. The HYPER-RK39 is equipped with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB eMMC NAND flash as standard. Additional memory capacity is provided by a microSD slot. The PICO-ITX board can be extended with a WWAN module via a Mini PCIe slot. For wireless communication further HYPER-RK39 variants with integrated Bluetooth® 4.1 and WLAN function according to IEEE standard 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac are available. ICP offers certification for the WLAN function for the European, American and Asian markets. Two independent displays are supported via an HDMI and an embedded display port (eDP). In addition, the HYPER-RK offers further interfaces such as an RS-232/422/485, a USB 2.0, two USB 3.0 (type A and C), one GbE LAN and 8-bit GPIO. The HYPER-RK39 can be easily operated in the semi-industrial temperature range of -10°~+50°C by means of a slim passive heat sink.
