OmniVision Releases Automotive Image Sensor for LED Flicker Mitigation with Compact Split-Pixel Design

Low power consumption sensor allows rear view and surround view cameras with excellent image quality and extended scene detail via best in class resolution and high dynamic range of 110dB in LFM mode.

SANTA CLARA, CA. OmniVision Technologies, Inc.’s OX01D10 is a 1MP image sensor for automotive viewing applications, which will be on display in OmniVision’s private suite at Computex, May 28-30, combines split-pixel and dual conversion gain (DCG) technology, offering artifact-free motion capture, high dynamic range (HDR) of up to 120dB, as well as LED flicker mitigation (LFM).

The OX01D10’s miniscule viewing camera modules use less than 200mW at the full 30fps and still offer the highest resolution in a 1/4-inch optical format.

“The OX01D10 delivers low power and high performance in a small form factor,” said OmniVision’s automotive marketing director, Andy Hanvey. “We provide the industry’s leading LFM performance over the full automotive temperature range, which meets the needs of OEMs that are increasingly requiring cameras to mitigate the flicker from LED lighting in vehicles, signs, buildings and a wide variety of other outdoor illumination.”
